Imran,

Sorry I've been such a slacker about my pick. It's a combination of 1) I can't access the website for my picks at work anymore, and so I don't visit as frequently and 2) my picks have sucked as of late.

Anywho,

16 JAX OVER SF
15 IND OVER SD
14 CAR OVER NO
13 SEA OVER TEN
12 CIN OVER DET
11 BAL OVER GB
10 MIA OVER NYJ
9 NE OVER TB
8 HOU OVER ARI
7 PHI OVER STL
6 CHI OVER ATL
5 MIN OVEE PIT
4 DAL OVER WAS
3 CLE OVER OAK
2 KC OVER NYG
1 BUF OVER DEN

I have slipped to 7th overall in my pool. I have not won a week since week 5. It's been a lousy year for me. You have kicked my butt every week for about the last 5-6 weeks :)

I'll be back later today with my picks. I'm not going to look at point spreads this week, just to mix it up a little.

I finished 13th out of 21 in my pool. I'm down to 8th place overall.

You pick in my style. Some friends of mine pick at last hour after seeing all the injury reports and line ups.

I hate these late week picks. A lot of teams have nothing to play for and consequently you get a lot of unexpected results. Hopefully I can use it to my advantage in my pool. I need to get to third place overall to get some more money.

Week 16 Picks

16 DEN OVER OAK
15 CIN OVER BUF
14 PIT OVER CLE
13 JAX OVER HOU
12 CHI OVER GB
11 STL OVER SF
10 MIA OVER TEN
9 NYG OVER WAS
8 NE OVER NYJ
7 SEA OVER IND
6 DET OVER NO
5 ARI OVER PHI
4 SD OVER KC
3 DAL OVER CAR
2 BAL OVER MIN
1 ATL OVER TB

Man oh man, my Patriots are getting healthy again. Game of the year? When New England defeats Indy in the second round of the playoffs on the weekend of Jan 14-15.

You are indy AND colts fan at the same time???? (In webraw u once said u r colts fan). It's like being atheist and catholic at the same time.

I HATE indy, indoor team who can't play in snow and make artificial noise, I love pats. But my team is steelers. #2 is pats. #3 is denver.

3 times I'd love to see lose. Bengals, Indy and Seahawks.

I never said I was a Colts fan. I think you are referring to the post where I stated that Indy would be a fun team to play in Madden football because they are so talented on offense. That doesn't mean I root for them. In that same post I also stated that the closest I have to a favorite team is the Patriots. They have helped me win a lot of money in confidence picks pools over the past three years.

Ouch! Taking Dal over Car at Carolina is suicide. I'm a huge Cowboys fan and have been for a long time, but I can't possibly see how that banged up offensive line is going to stop Carolina's pass rush. This is the time Bledsoe needs to break out his camo jersey because that's the only way he's going to keep the Panthers defense from burying him. :)

Hee. Never underestimate the power of a team that desperately needs a win to stay alive in the playoff race. I should have also looked at that mentality in the WAS vs. NYG game.

Argh! My picks this week sucked. Granted, I'm thrilled to be wrong about the Cowboys. Still, I wish I knew which Cowboys were showing up to the game on a given Sunday. Sometimes they look great and can play with the best teams (see games against Sea, Car, Den, KC, SD, NYG pt1, Skins pt1) and other times they look pathetic (Oak, NYG pt2, Skins pt2).

Cowboys are my favourite in NFC. I'd love if they make play-offs!!

Yeah, I'd love it if they made the playoffs, too. However, I'm also very realistic. They need help to make it and probably won't make it very far because of pass-protection issues. At the same time, this looks AWESOME for next year!

Check it out, this was a rebuilding year for the Cowboys. They completely changed defensive schemes moving from a 4-3 to a 3-4 which required a huge overhaul in personnel. They also have a new QB, granted he's experienced and if stats mean anything - he's among the best QB's around (statistically speaking), but he hasn't caught on that Witten should be a frequent target (Testaverde got that idea very quickly :). Many of the people starting are either rookies or 2nd year players. With this year's experience and additional off-season prep, this team could be dangerous next year.

Their wish list for the offseason will be to shore up the offensive line, a good blocking fullback, and maybe try to get a serious speed/deep threat, a #1 receiver. Michael Irvin believes Dallas is using two #2 receivers and could really benefit from a true #1 threat. I don't entirely agree with that, because if you have a really good tight end like Witten, that puts huge pressure on a defense to cover all three guys (and maybe even Jones or Barber coming out of the backfield).
